PODS Eases Stress of DITY and PPM Moves

It’s convenient because it allows you to load the container at your pace – you can take your time packing, and when you are ready, PODS picks up your belongings and safely transports them to your new home. Even if your new residence is not ready for move in once you arrive – there’s no worry with PODS. They can store your HHG in their local storage center until you are ready for final delivery. Our move with PODS involved calling to schedule delivery, then calling to let them know when our container was packed, locked (with a lock purchased from PODS), and ready for pick up. Since our new home wouldn’t be ready for move in when we arrived, we opted to have PODS store our container while we were in temporary housing. When we were ready to move in, we simply called PODS to deliver our container and requested that it be picked up when emptied three days later.
That was it! Since PODS rents their containers by the month, and we ended up keeping it for two, there was just an additional month’s rental fee to be paid. Had we not had the control afforded with a PODS move, I know our PCS move would have been much more stressful. PODS even provided the weight tickets we needed to obtain reimbursement for just a nominal fee.

While PODS biggest feature is the fact it allows you to load and unload on your own schedule, sometimes carrying boxes back and forth just doesn’t seem as fun as say, watching someone else load your PODS storage container.
