Spread the word. Share the spirit.

Posted November 29, 2012 by Jennifer

’Tis the season to be jolly, and we’re already feeling the spirit here at PODS. But as we draft our wish lists and plan our holiday parties, we’re reminded of those less fortunate – the families struggling to make ends meet, the children who may not have any presents under the tree.

It’s with those kids in mind that we renew our pledge of support for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. From now until Christmas, we’ll donate $1 to Toys for Tots for every ten new “likes” on our Facebook page. On top of that, we’ll donate $5 every time a fan generates five more likes by sharing our message with his or her Facebook friends. Last year, Toys for Tots made Christmas brighter for more than 7 million children. Help us make this holiday an even bigger success.

In addition to pledging financial support, PODS also offers storage and moving services to those collecting, organizing, and distributing toys. Read on to see how we’ve made a difference in years past, and learn more about our moving and storage services here.

“I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support of The Camp Lejeune Toys for Tots program in North Carolina. We process over 35,000 toys for over 10,000 children, and there is no way we could keep the operation going without the direct support of PODS.”

“Thank you, PODS Indianapolis, for supporting Toys for Tots. The unit was delivered and placed perfectly to my specs. While it was here, we had a fierce rainstorm, but the toys remained dry and secure.”

“Thank you so much for your generous donation to the Toys for Tots program. We have very few options when it comes to storing toys (financially and logistically), and the storage units we received from PODS have been priceless. Because of you, our toy drive will be even bigger and better!”

We’re so proud to be able to help Toys for Toys in their mission, and we hope you will too. If you’ve already “liked” our Facebook page, consider donating toys, volunteering, or contributing monetarily. Learn more at and spread that holiday spirit to a child in need.
